this weekend was boring.i had to go work at the thrift store in the day. on friday night i went to my friend julies house in pitt meadows.which is worse then poco because at least in poco you can buy weed and do more then you can in pitt meadows.we just sat around got kinda stoned watched t.v and so on.saturday i thought would turn out better since i got invited to what was called a 'party'.even though it wasnt that much of a party.you couldn't be loud,no music playing, only some people were drinking, they guy didnt share his jello shooters.:( i've never tried jello shooters and i'd really like to). we just got stoned again.then walked over the new bridge, which is useless since theres a crosswalk right next to it, its just yet another form of corporate sponsership.verizon the cell phone company built it next to a shiny new red billboard of theirs.
last night i watched a clockwork orange.i've seen it once half way through and this time i watched till the end.i liked it.quite disturbing but i liked it.on tuesday i plan on seeing the new movie MONSTER, about the serial killer eileen wornes (i think thats how you say her name).i rarely go to the movies anymore, but im going to make sure i do.
i'm reading a good book, its brings up so many questions about humanity, like what defines human behaviour?for example, a dogs behaviour is known as active, they like to chase balls, they like bones etc. a cats behaviour is rubbing up against peoples shins, sleeping, chasing mice etc. all that we humans have that seperates our behaviours from other animals is smoking, the ways we present our selves-clothing, make up etc, drugs probly and i forget what other ones were listed.but its a good point.this book is called life after god by douglas coupland.i like his books, i've read shampoo planet and polaroids of the dead, now i'm also about to read his most famous one generation X.
i finally read bastketball diaries too, so far i'd only seen the movie, half way through i think.in the end of the movie if i am correct jim gets taken in by that old black man,and you witness all his withdrawels, and i think after that he just can't stand it and goes out to buy more H, but the book just ends with him writing after a 4 day in-bed heroin binge and he looks in the mirror and sees himself, how different it is.i enjoyed the book though.some scary, queer shit in there though.
i've been listening to white stripes constantly.i long for the next time they play a show in vancouver,i'm buying a ticket the moment i hear word of it. i don't go to enough good concerts.
